Pest Apocalypse continues looking great. One I highlighted before and doing so again now due to a brand new demo, bringing vehicular action to the survivor-like bullet hell genre. The update comes as part of the Games from Croatia event on Steam.

Similar in basic theme to Earl vs. the Mutants that I also recently covered, except this has you deliver pizza in the apocalypse and it's total chaos. Plus it has Native Linux support made with Godot. The demo update includes "a massive amount of early game changes, a whole new map to help you learn the basics of the game, additional gameplay settings to help tweak your experience, and a whole truckload of graphical updates to improve your pixel-to-eyeball experience".

Features:

  • SHORT BURSTS OF FUN: Quick runs that take ~12 minutes to complete!
  • PIZZA DELIVERY SURVIVAL: There is more to this than just surviving, you have a job to do!
  • VEHICULAR PLAYGROUND: Physics-based simulation for the best driving feel and fun!
  • CUSTOMIZATION: Try various combinations of vehicles, survivors and modifications! Adapt and experiment to find what works best for the situation at hand!
  • PEST CONTROL: Feel powerful as you slaughter an endless horde of disgusting pests!
  • PROGRESSION: Use your in-game earnings to unlock new vehicles, weapons and more!
  • 2D + 3D: The charm of pixelated 2D sprites in a low poly 3D environment!

I think you're going to really like this one. It has the crazy upgrades and level-up system made popular by Vampire Survivors, really properly tuning it for vehicle-focused action while giving you a constant quest to pick up and deliver pizza that makes it feel like nothing else. Great fun.

Check it out on the Steam page.
