Set in a hand-drawn world of cosmic horrors, the upcoming 2D action-platformer metroidvania, Voidwrought looks like a real gem. Especially so if you're a Hollow Knight fan waiting on Hollow Knight: Silksong. Announced for release on October 24th, this one should work nicely with Valve's Proton on Linux / Steam Deck.
You may get tired of "hey this game looks like this game!" but…this is really clearly inspired by Hollow Knight, and we've seen a few more like it recently too. And that's a good thing! Voidwrought looks great in its own right. The visuals are fab, the setting sounds good and the combat looks delicious.

I'm not saying this game is bad, but getting "inspired" by another game that is not even old yet, give me vibes of all those Contra or Street Fighter wannabes from the past that were a complete waste of time.
Quoting: robvvDamn them! This Metroidvania looks right up my street, and so onto the wishlist it goes. I have neither the time nor the money to play all the games I want, but this one is another that calls to me :-)
Haha. Exactly my thoughts!
