Men of War II from Best Way originally released back in May, but it forced an online connection. With the Steel Rain update out now that's no longer the case. Nice to see the developer actually deliver on what they promised.

You can now switch between offline and online modes and additionally the developer added the ability for all single-player modes to have the option to change the game speed. They also mentioned how "the quality of the game world simulation will now improve based on the power of your PC" as well. They also said they expect almost everyone to notice "a somewhat less “arcadey” feel of the game". Online play had some tweaks too like an improved MMR score calculation, which they feel is a "significant improvement".

New content too like 8 new units and 3 new battalions, plus updated models for a bunch of existing ones. Some new visual effects are in, new blood effects, particle reflections in water, particles got shadows, smooth fading of light sources at a distance and lots more. There's also new and improved sound effects, unit balancing and the list goes on.

Took them long enough, but finally it's here. And looks like the game also improved since release. Will buy it next sale. :).
