The Mesa team have released another bug-fix update with Mesa 24.2.6 available now, with a couple more bug-fix releases planned before they move onto Mesa 24.3 next month.

Here's the main fixes that were noted:

  • radv: wrong index value in radv_skip_graphics_pipeline_compile.
  • Disk Cache DB file descriptors are not closed on exec.
  • Shader cache takes too many fds (this was listed twice).
  • Disk Cache DB file descriptors are not closed on exec.
  • radv: `test_instruction_msad_dxil` from vkd3d-proton fails on hawaii.
  • [vulkan-intel][regression] War Thunder causes GPU hang.

Running War Thunder with NVK is also currently a chore with smoke, fire and grass causing huge performance hits going from nearly 100 fps to 5 fps and it stays that way unless you look away.
