Reminder: GamingOnLinux needs your support

Hello dear readers! Here's something I don't like to do often but is sometimes necessary - a reminder that GamingOnLinux needs your direct support. After being online for over 15 years, I want GamingOnLinux to continue for at the very least another 15.

A big thank you, as always, to every reader who comes along and for everyone commenting, submitting news suggestions and just being part of the community.

Want to help support GamingOnLinux? See below!

Firstly, the best way is regular support via Patreon. For Patreon, a suggestion is to pledge around the start of a month, as it charges at the beginning of every month (although that is changing late next year to the date you started each month). Generally the Patreon is just to have regular funding to keep bringing you the news.

All other donations, without any special rewards can be done by:

You can also bookmark and buy games using our affiliate/partner links (and they really do help!):

You can find all the links to support us on our dedicated page any time.

Thank you for continuing to read and support GamingOnLinux!

Don't forget you can follow across Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp and Twitter.

I am the owner of GamingOnLinux. After discovering Linux back in the days of Mandrake in 2003, I constantly checked on the progress of Linux until Ubuntu appeared on the scene and it helped me to really love it. You can reach me easily by emailing GamingOnLinux directly. You can also follow my personal adventures on Bluesky.

Bonus tip: in firefox, manage bookmarks, one can set a keyword (I use gog) so that one gets taken to the bookmarked page when typing said keyword in the address bar.

It's a great site for up to date Linux gaming news. I have it as a pinned tab at home and at work.

15 years! Wow, I remember when I discovered this site, it was just about when Happypuppy stopped posting things. Am I that old?

Liam, are you like me? Where it feels those 15 years went by too fast?

I'm past year 20 of being a Linux user at this point.. and honestly. It doesn't feel that long.

Where did time go?!

Meanwhile, I still have an awesome OS.

I have send a small donation your way Liam.

I think I started lurking here when steam came to Linux?

And it was a ride, with steam deck, proton and other news you covered.

Thank you for all the good work.

No website I'm happier to support. My goodness, I've been a member here over 8 years and reading even longer than that, about all 11 or 12 years I've been on Linux. Gamingonlinux is Linux, as far as I'm concerned. While I game less than I used to, it's an ever increasing reason Linux continues to grow, and for those gamers, this is their resource. I encourage everyone to give!

Already been donating a few bucks a month since 2019 now, but this made me discover you added the "supporter email" feature I've been missing. Is it supposed to work right away (it doesn't for me), or will the badge show up after the next payment comes thru?

Regardless, thank you for all the great work over the years

Hi, you can actually ensure it works by using the Patreon account linker.
