Valve released another smaller Beta update for Steam desktop and Steam Deck with even more bug fixes. Since this is a Steam Client update it's basically the same across both platforms.
Here's everything that's changed:
Music Player
- Fixed a playback of .WAV sound track files.
Broadcasting
- Fixed a crash while broadcasting introduced in the last beta.
Game Recording
- Added error messages when trying to load a H265 clip or background recording w/ GPU acceleration or HW video decoding disabled.
- Fixed a case where non-Steam games would show results from other games in the screenshot section.
Steam Input
- Added support for wired XBox controllers on macOS Sequoia.
- Fixed the "Turn off Controller" action causing Steam to launch BPM if the main window was focused.
- D-Pad directions and Right Joystick can now be used to activate Mode Shifts.
- Increased maximum sensitivity of Joystick Mouse mode.
Remote Play
- Fixed the cursor being too small when streaming from a PC with desktop scaling enabled.
- Fixed using software encoding instead of hardware H.264 when HEVC is enabled and unavailable.
Big Picture Mode
- Fixed the Discovery Queue presentation so that the elements around the videos show correctly.

This is great. I really hope they work on Broadcasting on Linux someday.

Or just work on Broadcasting in general. It could be great, but is so half-baked at the moment.

I wished they would actually fix Steam Remote Play. Been having constant issues with it being glitchy since a few years and it's just not getting any better. Today I tried streaming from my desktop to Steam Deck. But the resolution was wrong despite the change desktop resolution to match streaming client enabled, so it was super small, the game was laggy and stuttered every few seconds. Also, the audio was glitched. I'm so disappointed :(

Do any of you guys have recording of the mic working in Game Recording now? Because I can't get it to work, the workaround is to route the mic to the system output channels on the board, but that leads to an annoying delay that I'd love to get rid of.
