My favourite top-down arena shooter rogue-lite, Brotato, has a free update and big new DLC out now with Brotato: Abyssal Terrors. It's Steam Deck Verified and works great on Desktop Linux with Proton.

For everyone you get local co-op for up to 4 players, 4 new characters, 5 new weapons, 15 new items, new music, new accessibility options and more. By itself that would be quite a decently sized addition to the game, and free too so you certainly can't complain.

The co-op trailer is below:

But then there's also the Brotato: Abyssal Terrors DLC that adds in a new map with 20 waves of new enemies, elites and bosses! Plus 14 new characters, 16 new weapons, over 30 new items, new game mechanics, new music, new achievements and so on.

For £3.39 the DLC is very reasonably priced considering the extra content, plus the free update - an easy purchase.

I've sunk lots and lots of hours into this one, and now it's about to absolutely destroy my time once again. Definitely looking forward to some co-op chaos. Absolutely wonderful. If you've still not picked it up you're really missing out.
