Coming in a day late for my recent Steam Deck Verified round-up, The Rogue Prince of Persia from developer Evil Empire and publisher Ubisoft is now Steam Deck Verified with a big update out.
More about it: "Experience a fast-paced, challenging but accessible roguelite as you master acrobatic moves and flow seamlessly between platforming and combat. Find new weapons, equip trinkets with special effects and upgrade them to make your own builds. Discover new characters, information and areas as you try to find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion and become the hero you have always wanted to be."
What to expect from the update:
- 50 new Medallions with an all-new system.
- The Book of Heads: more secondary objectives.
- The Rescue levels: more platforming challenges.
- Tons of tweaks, fixes & polishing.
Speaking in a post on Twitter (X), the developer noted:
"Since the last update, The Rogue Prince of Persia is Steam Deck verified!
A few notes though :
1. We will continue improving performance throughout Early Access.
2. The hub and later biomes may experience occasional drops in frame rate.
3. We still recommend setting the FPS to 30max in the options."

This comes at the same time as news that Ubisoft has disbanded the team behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (BBC). However, there were no layoffs this time around, instead developers have been moved to other projects.
