To help you decide on what to pick up, I've gone through the Steam Autumn Sale and picked out a whole bunch that will work great across both Steam Deck and Desktop Linux. These are my cheap-picks, to help those of you on a bit of a budget right now.
As always, these lists are a little biased to what I think look good, but obviously my tastes are the best and you should buy all of them and if you don't agree you're clearly wrong.
Jokes aside, I've split the list between two categories for you, each filled with an assortment of games. All the games are also Steam Deck Verified, so no hunting for compatibility needed. Every single one in the list is also at a minimum rated Very Positive by users on Steam too.

Have you picked up anything good? I got suckered and picked up Diablo IV. Even though I have it on Battlenet, the Steam convenience is unmatched. And honestly, I forget to ever actually look at Battlenet - woops.
See all in the Steam sale.
I'll also recommend again the The Raw Fury Humble Bundle because it really is a good deal.
And, if you missed it, the next Proton update is in testing and coming soon. It's going to be a big one with plenty of game compatibility improvements.
Fez is cheap, and so is Steins;Gate and Hades.
Quoting: mindplagueDo these EA games (like Mass Effect) still work with the new EA launcher? most of my games going through the launch are borked.IIRC, ME Legendary Edition came out directly on the new EA App working fine, at least on Steam Deck. I didn't complete the trilogy there, but I tested a few hours of the first game like a year ago.
Quoting: KlaasThere hasn't been anything that has tempted me into buying, but I'm still busy with Steamworld Quest which I bought on GOG a few weeks ago.
Do I need Brotato if I'm still not done with Vampire Survivors and Halls of Torment?
Funnily enough I'm in same situation. Haven't yet played Castlevania DLC for Vampires Survivors and Hall of Torment has plenty of new free content that I haven't played. I can raise you with Deeprock Galactic: Survivor (that also has free content update that I haven't played).
As for other games, there's so much good stuff for cheap. Personally I think I'll wait for winter sale, I don't really need more games. Just bought UFO 50 and that already has 50 games to play...
