Popular hardware vendor Razer have announced a couple of new fancy skins for the Steam Deck, so if you're wanting to give it a little more style perhaps you might find something you like.

I have to admit, I didn't even know Razer were doing skins for the Steam Deck until a link was dropped into the GamingOnLinux Discord. They actually have 9 flashy looking covers to wrap around your Deck to keep it cosy and looking fresh. A nice alternative to swapping the shell from the likes of JSAUX and eXtremeRate, or buying a Limited Edition Steam Deck from Valve.

The two new skins are Sludge:

And then Acid Sludge:

Must admit, that Acid Sludge really does look awesome on the back of the Steam Deck.

Annoyingly, they don't seem to be available in the UK, so I couldn't get them even if I wanted. Looks like they might only be available in the US.

See more on the Razer store.

Have you got a skin on your Steam Deck? Did you manage to get it bubble free? Leave a comment.

Somehow I did yeah... It was a year ago so I don't remember a lot, I just remember using like a hair dryer to loosen the skin whenever I fuck it up, then try again. It's not too difficult.

I'm surprised these don't come with RGB strips.

Yup. From the site:

Are Razer Skins available in my country?
Razer Skins are currently available in the US only but tag us on social, tell us where you want Razer Skins, and maybe we’ll begin to think about considering the possibility of perhaps shipping elsewhere.

Seems awfully expensive for some vinyl. Do they not mess with the tactility of the touchpads? As mentioned by others, I'm sure I would mess it up and get some bubbles in there...

I put a mirrored decal on an original Xbox. The material is thick and not hard to avoid bubbles. It's not the same as window film.

I think they look great. But I'm not planning to get a Steam Deck still.
Do we need to wait for OpenRazer integration or does it work OOTB?
