I'm still mad that they're doing this. The Mega Drive collection was my introduction to classic Sega.

I'm tempted, but might as well wait until Black Friday to see if there's a discount.

SEGA probably found a different way to sell them, like they did when Sonic Origins led to the Sonic 1/2/3&K ROMs being delisted from the collection.

And just a couple days ago I was praising this collection as a great way for a company to provide ROMs for retro titles.

No kidding. And just as I got the retro gaming/console emulation bug, too! I had also been planning to save up this month, but so much for that!

I really hate when video game companies do these sorts of things!

What a sad day for video game preservation...

You know, recently I stopped feeling so bad about it. Like, it's only a sad day for the corporate themselves, if they don't want my money that's cool, I can gladly look elsewhere.

On the other hand, SEGA did announce some new games for their IPs during last year's Game Awards, so I wonder if this delisting has anything to do with that.

I think you're onto something because if I remember correctly, this is not the first time Sega has repackaged their Mega Drive and Genesis collections of games and maybe they're going to do the same thing like they did with Sonic.

That might be it since they haven't given a reason why these games are being delisted yet.

Well at least SEGA isn't adopting the same stance as Nintendo and has always been supportive of both emulation and ROM hacking communities.
