Valve pushed out a new stable Steam Deck Client update which includes some pretty essential sounding bug fixes. This was release for everyone on November 19th.

From the announcement:

General

  • Fixed a regression in audio capture for Remote Play Together
  • Fixed issue causing some games to slow down after long play sessions.
  • Fixed some causes of rare crashes in Steam Client.

Desktop Mode

  • Fixed successive game recording exports after the first one sometimes exporting the wrong clip.

So far my time on the latest SteamOS 3.6 release has been great. Loving all the new stuff. We also just had the Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White and Steam Deck in Australia launches.

What bug are you hoping to see Valve solve on Steam Deck next?

Some of the bugs I want fixed are the Steam deck sometimes not outputting to an external display and sometimes not launching games. Both bugs seem to be fixed by a restart, but I honestly have no idea what triggers them. But it's kind of annoying to just want to game and seeing that the Deck has still not managed to launch the game after 5 minutes

Not really a bug, but I wish it was quicker at "pausing" games when you hit the sleep button.

Sometimes I need to sleep it in a situation where I can't pause the game (by opening a game menu or w/e), and it can keep on going for quite a while before the deck suspends, ticking down timers etc.
