The Last Plague: Blight impressed me quite a lot with the initial Early Access release, and the developer has been doing some great updates to it recently.
With an update last week adding in experimental controller support (only for third-person right now) it's supported across Steam Deck, Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Potentially other controllers as well, but only those controller icons are supported so far. The developer went a step further for Steam Deck, to ensure that text input will give you a proper on-screen keyboard too. Also in is a new radial menu for better controller support, replacing the old quick action menu.
The third-person mode is also a reasonably new experimental addition to the game, giving it quite a different feel to the default top-down view. Feels almost like it was made for it though after giving it a test run today, it works quite nicely with my Xbox controller on Desktop Linux.
Since the update landed, a few more have arrived, like giving an on-screen keyboard to controllers other than the Steam Deck, along with various bug fixes.
The Last Plague: Blight now has a Very Positive rating on Steam. With Native Linux support, and hopefully Valve will rate it officially for Steam Deck soon now it has controller support built-in.
Please note the demo is quite a way behind the game proper, which gets constant updates as it's still in development. Also note the story line is unfinished (half way?) but personally I play the game for the survival aspect and base building and not the story
Quoting: fabertaweThis is a fantastic game, I've now put in 220+ hours and having a ball (Linux native).
