The Thing: Remastered is coming sometime soon from Nightdive Studios and it seems it will run nicely on your favourite handheld, as it's now Steam Deck Verified. Good news for Desktop Linux players too then! Valve tested it with the latest Proton 9.0-3 and gave it the green tick steam deck verified of approval as of October 31st.

More about it: "The 2002 third-person survival horror shooter that serves as a sequel to the genre-defining 1982 film is back, remastered by Nightdive Studios to bring this innovative blend of fast paced squad action meets survival horror to the modern era. Including Antialiasing, Per Pixel Lighting, 4K Resolution and up to 144 FPS."

We still don't have a release date yet as it's in development, but a week ago they did put up a new gameplay trailer:
