Unrailed is a thoroughly entertaining and truly chaotic co-op game once it gets going, and now its bigger sequel has entered Early Access with Unrailed 2: Back on Track.

Just like the first game the idea is to clear a path and keep building a track for a train that will move between stations. This new edition to the series expands on it with a 4v4 versus mode (the previous game only had 2v2). If you liked the first game, it's an easy bet that you'll enjoy this one too. Seems like a careful evolution over the first game with new rewards and permanent upgrades with gameplay-modifying abilities, as well as new train engines, wagons and extensions to unlock. There's also the new custom map creation system included.

The first game did have Native Linux support but this sequel currently does not. The developer posted in the Steam forum to note they may add it in a later update like they did with the first game. However, they also said for now "the Proton version works very well on the Steam Deck".

It's interesting that the devs haven't released Native Linux support yet, considering Godot's notoriously great at it.
