Lithic Entertainment just revealed Scaravan 66, and I smashed that wishlist button faster than ever because it looks so damn delicious.
What is it? A fast-paced car combat game about exploding your way to freedom on the road where you'll battle all sorts of monsters and even the Devil directly. I was told to "Imagine the chaotic car combat of Twisted Metal blended with the endlessly engaging character-driven roguelike of Hades" and that's apparently what you get here. Like a lot of developers though, they're really stretching the limits of what a "roguelike" is.

Features:
- Gunning for the End of the Road: As a Road Reaper, you'll gun down every Devil-sent demon and undead on your way to that elusive end of the road. With each attempt to escape your hell, you'll grow stronger and unravel more about yourself and the world you're tethered to.
- Perks, Powers, and Pit Stops: Need to make a pit stop? Make strategic stops and visit other Road Reapers on the route who will lend you their powers and help you go that extra mile.
- Geared for Replayability: No two attempts to escape your tether are ever the same. With each attempt, discover more about your fellow Reapers, the fiends who stand in your way, and even yourself.
- Devil’s Diabolical Designs: The Devil is always one step ahead as she orchestrates her symphony of carnage against you. Enemies sent to stop your escape will differ in number and strength, as she watches your every move and fine-tunes her strategy. She is always plotting against you!
You'll need Proton to play this one on Linux Desktop / Steam Deck. It releases in 2025.

Looks fun, but Singleplayer only so not interested

That does look fun, kinda like a mixture of Mario Kart, Twisted Metal, and Mad Max.

I'm not really interested in anything with the word "rogue" in it, but this does *kind* of remind me of one of my all time fav games from my teen years: Interstate 76. Maybe like if that and Carmageddon had a really freaky baby.

Now if only they had a co-op mode where one player drives and the other shoots like Lucky & Wild.
