Chained Echoes: Ashes of Elrant expansion announced

By -

The 16-bit style RPG Chained Echoes, set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits, is set to get a big expansion in 2025. Chained Echoes: Ashes of Elrant was recently revealed that will bring a whole lot more content.

More about it:

Eldrea is calling once again. Eldrea needs you. One. More. Time. Ashes of Elrant is the official DLC for the highly acclaimed Chained Echoes, offering you more of what you enjoyed so much. Meet all your beloved characters and answer the call as the Crimson Wings are needed once again.

Ashes of Elrant takes place right before the end of Chained Echoes. While you and your clan are preparing for the final fight, a new call for help reaches the Crimson Wings. This mission will reveal more about the origin of the Order of Leonar and Lenne's past. What challenges await you in a new land where nothing is as it seems?

Ah, the kind of DLC I never play, because I want to know how the story continues.
And I don't want to play through an entire game for a second time just to reach the DLC area - at least not in games where huge build variety isn't really a thing.

Anyway, if someone has never played this, it's by far the best JRPG released in the last decade, so waiting for that DLC would seem like a good idea to play for a first time.

Awesome, I wish that the Steam wishlist wasn't broken still so I could move it to the top of my list. *sighs*
