ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN was announced by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment for 2025. It's a co-op spin-off and it sounds pretty exciting. No clear release date yet since it has only just been announced but it's coming to Steam and PlayStation consoles.
Co-op is not actually required, but it's firmly built around it being a co-op game. As the announcement mentioned: "Teaming up in squads of three – or daring to go solo – they must outlast a three day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across changing maps to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses at the end of each day".
It's the same game world as the first ELDEN RING but it's "set in a universe parallel to the events of ELDEN RING". Presumably so they can eventually do an ELDEN RING 2 and not have to worry about anything that goes on here at all. You'll get to pick from eight unique characters, each with their own unique abilities and powerful Ultimates.

Hopefully like the first game any anti-cheat will be enabled properly so we can play it on Linux / Steam Deck with Proton. Keep an eye on our dedicated anti-cheat page for more.
The trailer looks like a mixture of Monster Hunter and a battle royale...?
