Square Enix have announced that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will be getting a PC release on January 23, 2025. They've shown off a new trailer and given a whole bunch of details.

For the PC version it will of course include various graphics settings for you to customize. They said that "Depending on your rig, you’ll be able to play the game with frame rates of up to 120FPS and a range of visual enhancements, including refined lighting, improved environment detail, more detailed textures. You’ll also potentially be able to experience enhanced framerates and image quality with NVIDIA DLSS. VRR is also supported".

There's also of course Keyboard / Mouse support added in with controls customisation included. Check out the PC announcement trailer:

For Steam Deck players, the developers mentioned: "The team is working hard to optimize the game for Steam Deck. We’ll have more information about official Steam Deck verification in the future, so keep an eye on our social media accounts for confirmation."

Given that they're optimising for Steam Deck, it should be nicely playable on Desktop Linux too with Proton.

You can pre-order right now with a 30% discount until release.

I hope they will fix the bundle price, lol.

If you already own Remake, you should get a bigger discount...

Hopefully they'll stop selling the 2020 prequel at €80 euros now
