Valve have put up Steam Replay, their end of year little look over your Steam account, so you can show off how many hours you put into games across various platforms. Yes, Valve changed the name of this again. It was Steam Replay, then Steam Year In Review and now back to Steam Replay again.
It's no surprise to see that War Thunder and Helldivers 2 are joint top for me each taking 19% of my total playtime. It's also no surprise for me that Dome Keeper takes 9% of my own time on Steam Deck, I got a bit hooked on that one for a while.
Example of one of the charts you'll see:
And for people who have a Steam Deck it will show your most played on it too:

Head over to Steam Replay to see how you did.
Were you surprised by any details in yours?

Not a surprise, but I did confirm that games streamed to a Deck using Remote Play don't count as "played on Deck" for Valve.
2023 95% linux
2024 100% linux - zen state finally achieved
Is that still a "no"?
Back to gog and itch I go.
Quoting: emphyAny way to disable this creepy tracking?Sure. Put Steam into offline mode.

2023: 48% Linux
2024: 100% Linux
I don't have the platform piechart on my review anymore.
i know there was no recap before 2022 probably or at least i cant remember
Most played game this year from steam is STALKER 2 for me
~100 hours
Quoting: Vortex_AcheronticI find it a bit odd that Steam Deck and Linux are not the same platform. Oh I see in Liams Screenshots that the German translation is just misleading. I don't know how some does translate "device" to "platform" ... But yeah it makes a lot more sense in English 😅
Also interesting: I can now safely say that Bazzite (on PC, but in Game Mode) is detected as Steam Deck.

Don't even miss Windows.
94% Windows
6% Steam Deck
2024:
62% Windows
21% Linux
17% Steam Deck
Dont know if will get more or less in 2025.
Right now im not really happy with Linux because of a few problems, and i tried so many distros i dont see me able to fix them.
Bazzite was my best experience until now, but without being able to acess Pi-hole and my Firefox tabs for whatever reason, or Geolocation in General, its not a viable Option for me.
Fedora doenst work because i have Screen Tearing in OBS.
Today i will Try Kubuntu, but after that i will probably take a little break from Linux.
Valheim and Terraria dominated my playtime, but i got to play a few smaller games. I´m working hard on "no game hopping" stance for a few months. This resulted in doing my first playthrough in Terraria, which (i can see now) took almost three months and really enjoyable.
Now i restrict myself to valheim (until we beat the current last boss), Elite and some smaller games.
Thank you, Valve, for another year of uncomplicated, stress free gaming on a platform i actually enjoy.

Which makes me think if I just launch my regular Steam client with the --gamepad-ui flag or what ever it is called. Do they count it as Steam Deck or is there more to it? :D
While it is supposed to work just fine on Linux i guess my CPU (5600X) just was not enough to keep up and i was getting very regular and annoying frametime spikes whatever graphics settings i used to a point it felt like the game was running at 30fps in mid-game. Frametimes were a lot better on Windows until the very end game, i guess wine etc. just has a bit more CPU overhead on Linux.
