With a style that would have fit right in on something like the Nintendo 64 or the PlayStation 1, the upcoming retro collectathon 3D platformer Kero Quest 64 is coming to Linux and Steam Deck.
More: "Kero Quest 64 is a Collectathon 3D Platformer inspired by other games in the genre, especially those from the late 90s. You take control of Kero, a blue frog seeking to stop a prince from abusing his newly gained powers by collecting Magical Shards around the kingdom."
The game is being made by a team that includes a veteran of game modding, some may know BroDute from SM64 mods under the name of Star Revenge. Check out the trailer:

Features:
- Simple controls with some advanced movement options.
- Simple, light-hearted story that can be enjoyed by anyone.
- Retro graphics inspired by the late 90s.
- Over 20 levels to explore.
- A variety of things to collect in every level.
- Optional content such as costumes to unlock.
It's currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter with the goal already met and 13 days still left to go on the campaign. There's also a demo on Steam for Linux and Windows.
I'll go ahead and wishlist it with the hope a mod to replace the main character comes out at some point. Since classic 3D collectathons are my all time favorite genre.
