One missed from last month is the massive update to survival game Project Zomboid is now available as an Unstable Beta for testing. It has Native Linux support and is Steam Deck Verified.
An exciting release that's in need of plenty of testing as there's so much new and changed for the game. Saves are not compatible with Build 41 though, so keep that in mind and there will be bugs.
What to expect from it:
- Expanded Map, New Towns & Locations
- Underground Areas, Basements, and High Rise Buildings
- New Lighting System, Darker Nights Performance Optimization
- Animal Husbandry - Cows, Pigs, Sheep, Chickens
- Wild Animals - Deer, Rats, Rabbits
- New Fishing Mechanic
- Expanded Lore - Newspapers, Flyers, New TV and Radio
- New Build Menu
- Initial Crafting - New Uls, Surface Crafting, Pottery and Blacksmith Tech Trees
- Improved Agriculture/Crops
- Dynamic Music
- Player Vocals
- New Clothes, Containers, Weapons and World Objects
- Better Ul Scaling
- Randomised Wilderness and Biomes, New Grass
- Basic Tracking and Hunting
- Improved Gunplay
- New Seated Animations
- Corpse Dragging / Window Chucking
- More Romero-like Zombie Spawn Locations
- Improved Sneak / Combat Balance
- Environmental Story Improvement
Multiplayer is not in the Unstable 42 build but will return, as per their image:
