Hardware vendor and Pop!_OS Linux distribution developer System76 have revealed the brand new upgraded Meerkat Mini PC. This new fancy refresh gives you up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with Intel ARC graphics.

This new refresh also brings with it System76 Open Firmware that they say brings "fast boot times and tighter security" powered by coreboot. From the press release:

While the mini Meerkat only occupies a 4.5-inch square of desk space, it can also occupy zero. Dorm dwellers, Clutter Clydes, and Neat Nathans can use a VESA mount to hide the Meerkat behind their monitor, saving precious space to gain the upper hand against the forces of messiness.

Good little box. I have an older one i got for the kiddos. It's mounted on the back of the monitor. They weren't fully aware the box and monitor are different things, lol! It is a little hard to get to the power button from back there, lol.

But yeah, it's good quality and the OS and shell are extremely user friendly (from the "I just want this to work and not have to tweak things" point of view).
