Do you love deck-builders? Hungry Horrors is quite an inventive take on the genre where instead of fighting them, you cook for them! Another one made with Godot.
Your deck of cards are built up from various recipes you learn, giving you access to throw various meals at the horrors that await you. For each creature you need to fill them up to satisfy them, before they get too close to slay you and then you're back in the kitchen.
There's some fun game mechanics here like certain foods causing creatures to crave something, and if you manage to get them to eat what they crave you'll get a bonus. It's a race against turns though, as they will gradually step closer towards you. Much like Slay the Spire, it will tell you what the enemy creature plans to do on the next turn, giving you a chance to prepare.

It's not just the creatures that get hungry though, you do too. You have to balance their hunger bar with your own as you progress through each battle. So your meal cards can also be used on your own character, as well as the enemy, but feeding yourself stops you feeding them in the same turn. Certain creatures really like certain dishes too, which you'll learn as you play through to get bonuses.
Really fun idea. Lots to enjoy about it. Looking forward to seeing this one expand.
There's an early Alpha available on the itch store. Can also be tested in the browser.
