Fight off pesky humans and raise spider babies in Isle Goblin, a blend of Stardew Valley and Terraria

Kilowatt Games are currently working on Isle Goblin, a curious blend of features from the likes of Stardew Valley and Terraria that I'm pretty excited to see more from.

With a big mixture of features including dungeon crawling, big-boss combat, town building, farming and much more that you can play alone or with up to 8 people it has a lot of fun sounding ideas. The developer has been doing video logs on YouTube about it for 3 years now, and the progress on it is looking really impressive.

More about it: "Human scum have invaded your island, and it's up to you to defend your territory! Embark on a journey filled with action, exploration, and the joy of nurturing a thriving goblin community. Grow crops, raise livestock, and build a bustling farm to sustain your goblin tribe. Delve deep into the long-untouched depths, mining precious resources and discovering hidden treasures that will aid you in your fight against the encroaching humans."

Being made in Unity, the developer was looking at switching game engines like a lot of developers when the big Unity fee situation happened back in 2023. They've continued on Unity for now though, but in one video mentioned they do plan to use something else for future projects.

In a much more recent video, they estimate the game might have a demo out around May:
