Fighting Fantasy Classics from Tin Man Games has been upgraded with numerous enhancements to make playing through various remastered text-based roleplaying adventures even better.

Originally presented by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone in the 80s and 90s, Fighting Fantasy Classics brings these timeless tales back to your gaming library."

In the announcement they mentioned a new update is live with these changes:

  • Steam Cloud Saves for both PC and Mac players.
  • New Bookmarking and Saving system.
  • Support for up to three adventurer profiles per gamebook.
  • Controller Support.
  • Comprehensive Steam Deck support.
  • Some UI and Layout improvements.

They also announced Starship Traveller will be released in a few weeks along with the next Fighting Fantasy gamebook joining the library at some point soon.

I wish they'd make the entire (Fighting Fantasy) library available like this... I grew up reading Fighting Fantasy books extensively (I owned the first thirty or forty books!), long before Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone were role-playing game gods or had started the Games Workshop (well, in Australia at least - I think it was in it early days overseas).

Nice to see Official Steam Deck support though, considering these are better-suited to mobile devices rather than (traditional) computers.
