Imponix Game Studio have announced GSC - Game Store Chronicle, a management simulator where you run your very own game store.

They say it's "not just another simulator" like we've seen quite a lot of pop up recently including Supermarket Simulator, TCG Card Shop Simulator, Grocery Store Simulator, Clothing Store Simulator and various others, as it "features a timeline tied to gaming industry history, letting you follow the greatest consoles, games, and moments through the generations".

The developer confirmed Linux / Steam Deck support on Bluesky:

Of course it will have! Steamdeck and Linux, in fact, this one I'll do better testing on desktop Linux. VoS I did test directly on Steamdeck, but not on desktop linux, just through players feedbacks.

It's due out sometime in Q3 2025.

The concept is great... but I have serious doubts that it's actually fun to play. It looks like ... work!

Heque yea. - I was interested in perhaps playing that Supermarket Simulator one, at least once they've fleshed it out a lot more (it LOOKS like one of those shovelware games, but they seem to be putting more effort into it), because I like management-games and such, but if they're going to do a game store one, I'm in. XD
The idea of having like a dynamic market behind it that you have to respond to is definitely what makes it more interesting, although I believe the supermarket one does have something similar, even if just fluctuating market-prices.
