Bored? Check out the Museum of All Things and dive into Wikipedia in 3D

Here's a really clever idea. The Museum of All Things is a free to download experience made in Godot that allows you to explore various subjects pulled from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons data.

It's a living museum of knowledge you can run on Linux, macOS and Windows. You walk around and pick a subject, and then it will generate a room full of things to read and look at. A really clever idea to get more people interested in learning. The developer said they were "Deeply inspired by educational videos that I watched as a kid, and the liminal spaces produced by early CGI, I want to recapture the promise that the internet can be a place of endless learning and exploration".

The Godot team even did an interview with the developer recently. While it's had the 1.0 release, the developer isn't done with it. On the official site they talked about some future plans:

Although the Museum of All Things version 1.0 is released, I plan on continuing to update and improve it in the future. Some features which I would like to add in the future include:

• Multiplayer support
• Greater variety in room theming and layouts
• Support for more media types, like audio and 3d models
• Support for Wikipedia languages aside from English
