Death Stranding 2 has a new trailer and PS5 release date - hopefully a PC release isn't far off

I am so unbelievable excited to play Death Stranding 2, and the new 10 minute trailer gives us a healthy dose of what to expect from it.

A release date for PS5 has been announced for June but they're not talking PC release date yet, so we likely have a while to wait on this one. Going by the dates of previous Sony PS5 to PC releases, we're probably going to be waiting at least a year on it. Shame, but it gives Valve a lot of time to continue to improve Proton, so hopefully when it releases we won't see any Linux compatibility issues.

Few trailers make me really sit back and laser-focus like this. That was definitely something. I need it.

In addition a special concert tour was announced, to celebrate the music in Death Stranding. This tour will have a full orchestra that will start on November 8, 2025. More on that here.

At least by the time it comes to PC we should have any expansions and updates all done too.

Death Stranding is my all the favorite game, so I am very much looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully Sony won't try to drag it out as a PlayStation exclusive and it will quickly come to PC.

As always happens with Kojima, the trailer looks AWESOME... but I already spent 60+ hours on the first game, so this time I know what to expect. The first game has a great story, environment and sound design... but story is really badly told (you spent 50+ hours without knowing anything and they shove everything down your throat on the final 3 ones). And worst of all, it had a really boring (but somehow addictive!) game loop.

When the reviews are out, if things are the same as with the first game, I think I'll just stick to the "youtube version" with all the cinematics, skipping the boring gameplay.
