Just announced from Red Thread Games (Dreamfall Chapters, Draugen, Dustborn) is Hello Sunshine, a mysterious survival game where you're following a truly massive robot and keeping to their shadow to not get fried by the sun.

I have to admit the whole idea of this has me fully intrigued. I love a good giant robot, and the teaser trailer certainly left me wanting a whole lot more. The trailer doesn't actually show any proper gameplay though, more just introducing the world and the giant robot.

The Steam page at least gives us a much clearer idea of what you'll be doing, along with some actual clear in-game shots. Here's some more about it:

Hello Sunshine is a mystery survival RPG set in the sun-scorched ruins of a corporate empire. You play the final employee. Your mission: reach the tower at the end of the road, and help decide the fate of what remains of this world.

To survive the blistering heat and deadly sun, you'll walk in the shadow of a towering war machine, scavenging for supplies and searching for pieces to the puzzle.

When the sun sets and the robot stops to charge, you'll make camp, craft new gear, and repair your mechanical guardian. But the wasteland is freezing cold at night. Stay close to the robot to keep warm.

The journey to the tower is long. You won't make it on your own. As the sun rises, the robot starts walking. Follow — and stay alive until the end of the road.

Definitely going to be keeping an eye on this one! Sounds really unique and it will be playable in online co-op too.

I’ll admit I haven’t been this intrigued by a trailer in a long time.

If I seem bleak
Well, you'd be correct
And if I don't speak
It's 'cause I can't disconnect
But I won't be burned up by the reflection
Of the fire in your eyes
As you're staring at the sun

Whoa, as you're staring at the sun
Whoa, as you're staring at the sun
Whoa, as you're staring at the sun
As you're staring at the sun
