A new Steam Client Beta for Desktop and Steam Deck was released on March 4th, bringing with it the ability to view your game notes via the web.
Only one change is specific for the Steam Deck with Valve noting they replaced the "Switch to previous game" option in the "Launch Multiple Games" dialog with "Close previous game". The rest of the changes:
Game Recording
- Fixed recording video in Monster Hunters Wild
- Fixed videos and screenshots copied to clipboard not pasting correctly in some programs
Remote Play
- Fixed streaming video in Monster Hunters Wild
Game Notes
- Notes are now available on the web! You can find them on the games list. Select the "Games" option under your profile name, then find the new "My Notes" option on the "My Game Content" menu. They will be added to the Steam Mobile app in a future update.
- When the overlay notes window is resized, smaller sizes will now switch into a mode that toggles back and forth between showing the list of notes and showing an individual note.
- Fixed the link hover for some formatted links.
- Fixed creating and saving notes from the Big Picture game details section
Big Picture Mode
- Improved display of notifications for in-progress achievements
Steam Input
- Added support for the 8BitDo Micro gamepad
- Fixed opening one Joy-Con of a pair when the other is disconnected on Windows
- Fixed hotplug detection of wired Nintendo Switch Pro controllers on macOS
- Fixed ability to delete an action added to a button after it was used to activate a mode shift
- Fixed deleting a Virtual Menu if it was generated within the Virtual Menu sub page, as opposed to being created from a "Source" dropdown menu.
- Re-enabled auto gyro polling rate detection for wired connections but not wireless ones

8bitdo is a really, REALLY bad gamepad. Why? extreme high input delay. My old sn30pro+ from 8bitdo has insane 33ms over BT, 16ms over USB. Support did not help at the time and this issue never got fixed. And it is worser to think that new models never got this solved. Some friends bought one of the new models including that ultimate whatever model besides my warnings. They did the latency test and bingo! 33ms over bt, 16 over usb (with some variation over models but still very high).
For reference, DS4 is 3,5ms. Xbox controlers is around 7ms. Anything bellow 10ms is OK, Bellow 5 is good, Bellow 2 is great. Anything above 10 will be very noticeable specially if you use more than one type of gamepad.
Other issues includes very low durability for analog stickers rubber, and a very annoyng problem with skipped inputs from time to time... yes. you missed that Mario jump not because you didn't pressed on time, it was because 8bitdo ignored it. Again support never responded or solved this issue.
From all this awesome experience with them and their products I now say: 8bitdoNOT!!!

8bitdo is a really, REALLY bad gamepad. They've made more than one gamepad, you know?
Personally I've been getting a lot of mileage out of their excellent controllers. My next gamepad is most likely going to be another 8BitDo when my current Pro 2 dies some day. I'll leave latency measurements to those who play competitive fighting games, but seems like the newer 8BitDo pads are pretty good on that front anyway.
