GOG have done it again, they've revived another classic. Teaming up with Capcom, they've brought back Breath of Fire IV along with various enhancements as it joins their GOG Preservation Program. Plus the GOG Preservation Program has expanded again.

A nice way to mark the 25th anniversary of the game. The re-release comes with "both English and Japanese localizations, along with improved graphics powered by an upgraded DirectX renderer, new display options like Windowed Mode, V-Sync, Anti-Aliasing and refined gamma correction for better visuals" along with an upgraded audio engine too that restores "missing environmental sounds and adding new configuration options".

And, if you missed it, GOG also recently had DOOM (2016) release on their store too.

You can play games from GOG on Linux platforms (including Steam Deck) with the help of tools like the Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris and others.

Nice, BoFIV is a great game. I only wish I could play it, but it's far too tragic for me to manage, I just turn into a sobbing mess.
