Fogpiercer is a fresh and interesting take on deckbuilders, with you controlling a train that you build up and upgrade as you go. It has Native Linux support built with Godot and a demo is now available.

Your train carriages make up your deck of cards so you could have a very different run each time you load it up. It all depends on what carriages you take with you and buy at stations during your run. When it comes to upgrade time, you can eventually get a whole stack of powerful cards to help the turn-based tactical battles.

The battles are really interesting too, since it's all based on positioning. You're controlling a train, so of course you're attached to the rails, but the enemy bandits are not. It's up to you to force them into the positions you want with your weapons and perhaps a little ramming or forcing them into something.

The demo includes 1 driver, 1 locomotive and 3 carriages. Featuring over 47 unique cards and 18 modules that significantly change your playstyle, allowing you to create interesting builds on an endlessly-replayable dynamic tactical grid.

I've played through the demo and thought it was really great. Shooting right up into the top of my wishlist. Really want a whole lot more from this one, can't wait to see what all the extra carriages will let you do in the full release. Give this demo a go for sure.

It feels like Convoy mixed with Into the breach.
