After recently switching over from Easy Anti-Cheat to BattlEye for DUCKSIDE, tinyBuild have confirmed they're now looking to enable it for players on Steam Deck / Linux with Proton.
What is it? Pretty simple really. Think of Rust but you're a Duck. An open world survival game that features PVP, PVE, crafting, base building and hat wearing ducks that wield weapons.

On the Steam forum one of their developers mentioned:
DUCKSIDE has had anti-cheat enabled since it launched into Early Access, we did recently change from EAC to Battleye however and are now looking to enable proton support.
When asked why it wasn't enabled before, they said:
It's not as easy as just flicking a switch seemingly. We've tested Proton support through both of our AC systems and they both exhibited some unexpected issues (literally not launching), so we're trying to get to the bottom of that and resolve the issue before we can confidently state that proton is supported.
It's interesting, as we've seen a few developers over time note it's not been as simple as it's supposed to be to enable Linux support for Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye. Both of which do support Native Linux games and Windows games run through Proton, just not at the Kernel-Level.
You can see the anti-cheat status of many more games on our anti-cheat compatibility page.
