Whatever will developers turn into a deck-builder next? Ludo, apparently. The classic board game has been warped into Ludaro. Well, if Balatro can turn Poker into a roguelike, why not this classic and the trailer actually makes it look quite fun.

Here you collect special Spirit Cards as you go that allow you to reshape the game. You can change your dice rolls, alter the board to make new paths and stack lots of passive effects "until reality bends to your will". Ludaro sounds pretty chaotic with new rules being thrown in every so often so you need to keep changing your strategy too.

From the Steam page:

Roll the Dice, Play Your Way

Rolling the dice isn’t just about luck—it’s about timing, planning, and taking the right risks.

  • You always know what’s still possible—but never what comes next.
  • Play it safe, or push your luck for massive rewards.
  • Every roll is a moment of strategy—will you take control, or embrace the chaos?

Stack Powers, Build Your Own Luck

Along the way, you’ll unlock wild and unpredictable upgrades that push every run to new heights.

  • Spirit Cards that change the way you play.
  • Abilities that make every roll stronger, riskier, or more rewarding.
  • Creatures that reshape the board and unlock hidden opportunities.
  • Effects that combine, stack, and lead to explosive turns.

It's due out sometime in "Fall 2025" with Native Linux support and they said it's "optimized for Steam Deck".

Really looking forward to this one.

Ludaro
