Retro Disney themed shooter MOUSE: P.I. For Hire looks awesome in the latest trailer

The inspiration is obvious to anyone who has seen classic Disney cartoons on this one and I'm all for it. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire looks like a lot of fun and the latest trailer shows off more weapons. I initially highlighted this one back in August 2024.

I'm genuinely impressed by how stylish this one looks, and I really can't wait to play it. There's no release date just yet but they have confirmed it will get a Steam release sometime this year. It will most likely run well with Valve's Proton on Linux, and it's single-player so no anti-cheat nonsense.

The trailer shows off experimental weapons including:

As for some highlights of the game overall:

• Iconic Style: The monochromatic, hand-drawn rubber hose animation and original retro jazz soundtrack are created with the same techniques of the era. The playful weaponry, whimsical health display, and cartoon chaos add a light-hearted twist to each death.
