Spilled! is a thoroughly relaxing cute gem about driving a little boat and cleaning up the ocean, to bring life back to the planet. Playable on Linux and Steam Deck, it worked perfectly with the latest Proton 9.0-4. Note: the developer sent me a key.

With you starting off in a tiny and slow little boat as you clean up more of the ocean you'll earn some coins to upgrade your engine, storage and your front bumper scoop to deal with all that plastic floating around. This is the kind of game where you can just happily zone-out from the world. It's so incredibly satisfying seeing each section come alive as you clean it up, a reminder that we have a beautiful world that we love to ruin.

A game designed for you to take your time and just take it all in. No pressure here at all, no timers, nothing you can do wrong. Just drive the boat and clean things up.

This is a rather short game at only an hour or so, but worth it for people who like sweet casual games with a good message to them. The developer is also giving a cut of the funding to Whale and Dolphin Conservation from every Steam purchase.

I just wish it was longer. It's a lovely game and worth taking a look at, it's just so peaceful. If the developer ever decides to expand it with a full bigger sequel or a big expansion DLC, I'll be first in line.

I recall playing the demo for this in 2023 I think. It was a pretty simple concept, but they focused well on their foundations. Good to see they made it to full release.

This looks like a perfect Deck game for traveling!

I had problems with achievements not activating. Read in the forums to force use Proton 9.0-4, and that did in fact resolve the issue for me.

Playing it now and absolutely loving it! I don't care about achievements so I don't even know if they're working or not, but I did have an issue on the Deck where there is some sort of (what I assume is a tutorial video?) but it's not rendering at all and instead just shows color bars. So I don't know what the game is trying to tell me, but it's still so simple, I don't think it matters.

I REALLY hope the dev makes a killing off of sales and makes a sequel that's a full length game. I'd play the hell out of it.
