Marvel Rivals has been updated with Season 2 by NetEase Games which brings in a new experimental shader compiler mode and other new content. However, it's causing problems for Desktop Linux players where nothing appears after hitting play.

Tested across Proton 9.0-4, Proton Experimental and GE-Proton 9-27 nothing appears. For now, you can work around it. What you need to do is tell the game you're running a Steam Deck. Go into the game Properties in Steam and put this in the launch options box:

SteamDeck=1 %command%

Ensure you spell it correctly with the capitals "SteamDeck". You won't get the launcher, as this skips it, but at least for now on Desktop Linux you'll still be able to play.

I've added my own Proton log file to the Valve Proton GitHub issue for it. Hopefully Valve will be able to track down the problem and fix it in Proton. There's a post on the Steam forum talking about the problem too.

You put the SteamDeck=1 %command% in Lunch Options and also set compatibility to Proton Experimental. And would be good to delete the shader cache folder 2767030, from where the steam library is steamapps/shadercache/2767030 . And you have to wait a bit after to rebuild the cache then it starts. Runs way better then before and they optimized the game a lot. Load 3-4x faster on my rig on mint 21.2
