V Rising 1.1 - Invaders of Oakveil is set to release on April 28th and it's going to bring much improved and official support for the Steam Deck.

Along with a whole lot of new content and improvements across the whole game, their official update page when you scroll down a fair bit under the Additional Features heading states:

STEAM DECK COMPATIBILITY

Take your Vampire conquest anywhere! V Rising is now officially supported on Steam Deck, with optimized controls and performance for seamless handheld gameplay. Rise, hunt, and rule, on the go!

Presumably then, this will get it bumped up from Steam Deck Playable to Steam Deck Verified. They don't go into much detail on what's changed for the Steam Deck, which hopefully they will in some proper update notes when it arrives. If this does bring some decent controller improvements, it will be overall better for all players on Desktop too.

After digging through Steam reviews I found that the game breaks saves everytime after a major update, it was this way in Early Access too. I won't be buying it until they fix this problem. Don't fancy coming back to the game after 6 months just to see my entire progress wiped
