Continuing the improvements from the previous release that added Linux support, the Modern "Jedi Engine" replacement supporting Dark Forces, mods and in the future Outlaws - The Force Engine has a new release out with lots of upgrades.

Back when I first played through Quake: The Offering I found that I enjoyed the two mission packs even more than I did the original Quake campaign, and while these were the only official addons sold for Quake, several third party expansions and total conversions exist that also had retail releases. Two of these, Shrak and Malice, were published on CD-ROM in 1997 by Quantum Axcess. 

Just recently the Native Linux port of BioShock Infinite was updated to fix it failing to launch after an update.

Wait, what year is it? Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming. Valve announced a proper big update is planned and on the way for Team Fortress 2.

After going through development hell and being long delayed, Nightdive Studios have put up a fresh demo of their System Shock remake that includes controller support and a new intro.

The Force Engine is a free and open source game engine reimplementation for Star Wars Dark Forces, with upcoming support of Outlaws. The latest release version 1.08 adds Linux support!

It's early days for the game yet with it in Early Access but SurrounDead could be a promising one to play online with some friends.

ET: Legacy continues carrying the torch of the classic multiplayer title Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, with a new release out that has lots of fixes.

4A Games have done something quite awesome. They've released a SDK for people to make full game modifications of Metro Exodus.

Deep Rock Galactic is a game about a bunch of Dwarves going mining, and there's lots of creepy-crawlies that want to get in the way. It seems to only be getting more popular as time goes on too.

Nightdive Studios have now set a launch window for System Shock, with it planned to release in March.

All owners of Saints Row IV are getting bumped up to the Saints Row IV: Re-Elected edition, plus cross-play across different stores.

Not only has Team Fortress 2 been updated but it seems like quite a huge one thanks to the addition of VScript, and you can now run Linux inside it. That's right, TF2 came to Linux back in 2013 and now TF2 itself can run Linux. What a time to be alive.
