A small update for Proton Experimental launched on August 10th for Steam Deck and desktop Linux to fix issues with two problematic games.

Earlier we reported about how id Software and Nightdive Studios had come together once more to remaster Quake II for a new generation and shadow dropped it at QuakeCon. Well, that was only one part of the festivities as id and Bethesda have put a bunch of their hit games on sale to celebrate QuakeCon.

Overwatch 2 from Blizzard has now launched on Steam and thanks to that, it's super simple to get it working on Steam Deck and desktop Linux. Although Steam Deck players will want to change the Proton version.

id Software and Nightdive Studios are at it again with an enhanced version of Quake II, available now for all platforms and the best part is that, if you already own Quake II on Steam, it's a free update.

Since its release in October 2022, Persona 5 Royal has been one of the perfect Steam Deck games. Persona 5 Royal's design being very well suited for handheld play; combined with being a very well optimized PC Port overall. It's sequel / spin-off, Persona 5 Strikers, has not fared so well.
