I love tower defence games. So I thought I’d give you all a list of some of the best, some honourable mentions, and outline a few of the titles I’ve yet to try, in the hope that you’ll tell me why I should!
Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten (DX edition), the rather excellent Tower Defence and RPG hybrid has been updated to get gamepad and Steam Controller support.

Defender's Quest is a pretty decent Tower Defence/RPG hybrid that will be relaunching this month as Defender's Quest DX. It will have a bunch of systems and graphics upgraded, but the icing is that it will no longer use Adobe Air.
I recently covered Solar Division and while I liked most of what it had to offer, the game was just too easy. The developers agreed with me and they have not only balanced some tower types, they have also introduced difficulty levels.
