As you can see, Sol has been officially released (in fact GOL has an article on it. Currently we don't have a forum set up yet, and we consider Linux to be important (I myself use it since 2010) so I'm starting this thread in case anybody here wants to ask questions regarding the game.
Before anybody asks:
- Yes, we will release modding information later, the manual didn't get finished in time sadly :/ Meanwhile you can open soledad.dat (which you can open with 7z) to get an idea of how files are organized, or look into the source code for the most adventurous.
- If you want to make a mod, remember that mods are pretty much ZIP or 7Z files with a .solm extension (e.g. nameofthemod.solm). You can also put the mod into a directory and load that directly, to make it easier to edit (but beware, loading times will be much longer!).
- Yes, we're planning on releasing some mods for Sol in the future. We'll reveal more about this in the future.
I'll be checking this thread later! Have fun!
