[fixed] Quotes in RSS misrendered
ripper Apr 9, 2016
In my RSS readers, the quotes are always rendered with the ![](Quote) word on the same line as the beginning of the quote, making the text hard to read.

Feedly:

Firefox RSS view:

The code from the RSS looks like this:
<blockquote xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:base="https://www.gamingonlinux.com/article_rss.php"><cite>Quote</cite>Getting linux going should be easy right?

Would it be possible to add a line break between Quote word and the beginning of the quote, or maybe leave out the Quote word completely (I always found it superfluous, it's pretty obvious from the formatting). It's just a small nitpick, but if would make reading GOL more pleasant :-) Thanks.

This should be better now.

I've kept the word quote in, as it won't be obvious to everyone.

Thanks, I'll check when there's a new article with quotes available, and report back if the issue isn't fixed :) But it seems so, at least in Firefox.

Now posts with quotes on the Latest Comments page have the tags simply stripped out and quoted text indistinguishable from the rest. Not much worse than it used to be, but a bit confusing. (Should probably start a new thread, sorry.)

Always use a new topic for a different bug report, that page has never changed, it never parsed bbcode and will display tags.

Will lock this now as solved.
