Iv been trying to go over to linux on my main gaming rig for a while now.
The only thing thats really holding me back or make me go back to windows is my triple monitor setup.
I always find myself jumping back to windows to be able to use my hardware, and when Im in windows I just want to go to linux cause I like that os alooot better.
So in a perfect world I would like to be able to game over my 3 monitors on linux, on windows this is called nvidia surround, but I find this very very hard to do in linux.
I manage to enable "surround" using 1 card, what I mean by that is I put all my dvi cables in one card and I was able to play games over 3 screens.
Xinerama fixed this, but the xinerama option didnt apper in the nvidia-settings when all my cables where in the same card. So I hade to go in to xorg.conf and put xinerama = 1 in the xorg.conf file.
Everything seemed to work as I wanted it to do, but what about my second card then, is it just useless when I have all my dvi cables in one card?
Do I need to enable sli, and does sudo nvidia-xconfig --sli=on or AA work?
Basic Mosaic dosnt seem to do the work at all, my 3 monitors work in the desktop, but they are all working as a seperet screen. I can navigate and move the windows and the mouse and so on over the seperet monitors, but if I want full screen on something it only applys to 1 monitor, same goes for the games I play, they only appers on one monitor.
I did try to play dying light in window mode, and changed the config files so the game window was over all 3 screen.
This worked, but the performence was horrible.
So to sum it up.
If I use Xinerama or Basic Mosaic, and have 2 dvi cables in 1 card, and 1 dvi cable in 1 card.
Every monitor is working as a seperate screen. I can move windows and mouse over the 3 monitors, but fullscreens only appers over 1 monitor.
If I have all my dvi cables in one card, Xinerama works as I want, all 3 monitors work as one monitor
and I can game over 3 monitors.
But Im afraid my second card is not doing anything to help with the performence.
help! :(

But sli is enabled, or it says it atleast.
And full screen is spanned all over 3 monitors, like I want it to.
