Easy Setup Package for Linux Native Quake 2
Avehicle7887 Jul 10, 2016
I've created a package that makes the GOG version of Quake 2 easy to run on Linux, you can read more about it here: https://www.gog.com/forum/quake_series/quake_ii_easy_setup_for_linux

Enjoy :-)

Nice! You know what I'd like to see, though I don't know if the licensing and DFSG would support it, would be to have the the game-data package in Debian come with scripts to use steamcmd to fetch the data files and package them up.

Granted I know that's the way to do it, to make it a bit easier would be nice.

If it weren't for publishing rights belonging to Loki / LGP then we'd have a decent amount of other games available for SteamOS as well, like Sacred 1, Quake 2, Cold War, X2, etc.
