Yes, easily the best game I've ever played. Just walking around and listening to random NPC talk is a lot of fun. Some unexpected funny gems are scattered here and there. Like once in Skellige I saw a young woman plucking a chicken, and saying to herself: "He loves me, he loves me not". An older woman tells her something like: "You are supposed to use flowers for this", and the younger responds: "Do you see any flowers around here? And the chicken needs plucking anyway". Skelligers, jolly folks :)
The amount of work they put in it with stuff like that is mind boggling. Though it starts feeling just a bit rushed towards the end, which in itself is a sign of how huge the game is - they even delayed the release, so probably they started cutting things towards the final stages of the project.

My favorite NPC chatter was the one with the children in Novigrad, wondering what a whore was.

“Look at that sky. Ragnarok* is coming. The end of days.”
“Away with ye! You've been sayin' that for twenty year, and we're all alive yet!”
Hearing that in an Ulster accent - which is distinctly different to my own west of Scotland one, but the vocabulary and tone are very familiar - almost had me on the floor. :D
*Yeah, I know they don't actually call it that, but I forget the Skellige word.

Not so funny, but there was the bit with a mother being proud of her child lying, in a backalley.
CDPR put so much love and tender into the game, and it's a joy to play.
Hope they don't put Ciri in CP2077 though. That would be horrible. An Easter egg reference in a note or something would be okay I guess, but not putting the actual character in the game. Make a separate game about her instead, if they want to focus more on her story. However, if they are to make another game in the Witcher universe, I suppose it's better to start with blank sheets, so to speak, in a different part of the world, or in a different time period. Means they get freer hands, and won't be hamstrung story wise with events in the 3 Witcher games, without needing to resort to large-scale ret-conning and the like.

I didn't get to Blood and Wine yet, but from what I've heard about it, it really concludes the game, so it's expected to be played after the main story for sure.

Spoiler, click me
The dialogue probably changes if you play B&W first, so I guess it's fine either way.
That being said, I'd actually highly suggest playing each story line on its own to enjoy them separately and without interruptions.
The HoS story is probably my favorite.

I don't remember any HoS elements being mentionned in B&W... What you are referring to is part of the main story line and it proves that B&W happens after everything else. Anyway with it's ending sequence, there is no doubt left.
As for HoS, aside from Countess Mignole, I don't find any evidences that it happens after the main story.
Personnally, I start HoS just before the final battle with Eredin. It still makes sense with Countess Mignole and I have a fancy of finishing the main game with the Viper gear from HoS... Feels like going full circle with the beginning of the game, bringing a little of Vesemir to the final battle and looking similar, gear wise. Kind of poetic? :)
But does it really matter? It's all up to you as long as you're having fun.

Good point about Countess Mignole, it gives at least some time point reference. I bought the diagrams from her, but I'm still level 36 and they are 39. And I didn't really rush the main story, which led to suggested levels for it being lower than my current one. So I assume having level 39 by the end of the main story is quite uncommon.

Did you keep the Borsody quest line last? My memory is not clear about it, but I'm quite sure I wore the Viper gears for the final HoS quest, where you'll find the Viper silver sword, btw. I don't remember having to do any special, "gymnastic" to get the required level... Thinking about it, have you got the Steel Sword diagram in Borsody's Vault? Don't want to spoil you anything but both blades are easy to miss.
I usually do the quests by recommended levels and when there are many same level quests, I keep the main quests last.

Hardest, but not because of level requirements... It's more of a... logistical difficulty?

Of course, it's fine however you play.
I play on easy mode with extra mods that save me time and make me immortal and overpowered. :)
