Quoting: MohandevirJust put my hands on an LG29wk500 monitor (21:9 - 2560x1080) with Freesync. Thing is, theres is no DP port. Just HDMI. Am I doomed or is it DP on the GPU, that matters?

In general, try to avoid HDMI at all costs. At least don't buy monitors that don't have DP.

Didn't buy it. Got it from/for work... I was just curious to test it.

There is a way to enable HDMI freesync, forgot how. It was mentioned over on Phoronix in past but good luck finding the details.
