Well Steel Storm Episode 1 has it's BETA release for free, you can also pre-order episode 2 now.
Currently downloading - by the looks of the video it's going to be pretty good!
Anyone played it yet?

Haven't played it yet, but downloading it right now. Looks like a pretty good game from the video.
I hope it has some background music though (none in the video) cause that might get a little annoying.
I haves! Is good game! ^^
look good, i'll try it today :)
thanks for sharing
Not played it yet (my laptop has been sent to Acer. SIGH) Looks like a likely purchase once I get my laptop back though.
Well you don't need to purchase it - 100% free, they would just like for people to pre-order the second one, a good idea :)
So episode 1 is not like a smaller demo for the release of a much more complete episode 2. Nice ! In any case will be looking forward to test driving this one it looks great.
Haven't got my laptop back but have got my net-book back from repair shop so downloaded and played.
Runs very nice on an Acer Aspire One graphics are very professional looking like the cell shaded cartoon type look. I definitely think Episode 2 is a worthy of a purchase. :D Great Game so far but only played first few levels will be interesting to see if anything happens to relieve possible repetitiveness.

Finally got enough sources to make a Wikipedia article about it, although it needs expansion:

New version was released today, they added camera controls and game-pad support, pretty cool.
Think i need to pick-up a game-pad so i can sit back and be lazy on more games...sometimes using the mouse and keyboard is such a task! hah
