I'm a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, specifically working with children in tier-3 (complex needs, but not quite needing to be kept in a hospital) within public-sector health (NHS).

I'm a manager in IT infrastructure at a tradespeople marketplace in the UK (Giving half the info there :P) Kind of happy with my job for the most part, but not my dream job. My dream job would be having a basic income so I don't need to work, only do the projects and hobbies I'm interested in. Which are a lot, and need more time for them :)

Freelance translator for 11 years. Don’t have to suffer fools, can choose my schedule and turn down any projects or clients I don’t like, listen to whatever music I like without headphones, work in PJs, work anywhere that has Internet access, take all the sick time off I need... That’s all extremely valuable for my lifestyle of choice, and I enjoy working for several different companies to keep things fresh. I like the feeling of completing smaller jobs frequently better than a daily grind with no clear end goal. It also pays a lot better than the same job in a local office, so that’s been a life-saver considering my RSI since it lets me earn a good living working part-time.

I work as an IT Technician, mostly repairing PC's, that is including laptops and sometimes phones too. It doesn't have the highest pay but it's what I love doing and it's enough to keep me afloat.

Currently though I'm unemployed due to layoffs at the last workplace and I've been unable to find a newer job.

Nice seeing some non-technical people here, maybe Linux isn’t just for IT nerds after all.

I'm a developer, but to be honest, my dream is to be a literary translator. I only became a programmer because I thought it was cool when you create something yourself because programming languages also resemble ordinary languages. But I quickly got bored.
